Gentle Shepherd Hospice is the only family-owned hospice in the Roanoke and Lynchburg region. Since 1994, we have been guiding families in our communities through difficult times in a manner that exemplifies Christ’s life and ministry.
By definition, hospice is comfort care at the end of life. To us, it’s far more than that. It’s living in faith, being at peace and making precious memories. It’s spending what time is left where and how you choose – comfortable and with dignity. It’s a gentle, loving and experienced care team that joins your family for the entire journey, never more than a phone call away. And when grief and loss set in, hospice is still there to help loved ones begin the healing process.

- hospice patients living in poverty
