Housing - Board and Care Homes (also called "Adult Foster Homes")

We offer services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and older adults who want to retain their independence while receiving the personal services they need.

We provide comfort, compassion and care in a private home setting with two personalized private rooms and two semi-private. Home cooked meals to fit restricted diets. We have an ADT security system, whirlpool tub and activities based on age level and abilities.

Perhaps the most useful site for a long distance caregiver, the Eldercare Locator is a national service to assist people in finding the Area Agency on Aging unit for specific geographical regions (based on zip code). Enter your care receiver’s zip code and they will give you the information and referral service number for that region. The local people can talk to you about your care receiver’s needs and programs available to help. They may also know of care management programs in the community so the person you care for can get an in-person assessment. It may take the local Information and Referral Service a few days to return your call (they get lots of calls in a day), but it’s worth the wait. Activity centered care, medical supervision by regular doctor visits, staff nurse aids, all medical therapies, 4 homes with 24 hour 7 day a week awake care, and a family like atmosphere.

We offer short, long-and overnight stays along with adult day care. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and there is a 24 hour on call availability.

State licensed since 1991, we offer six private bedrooms with bath, and a large community room. Home cooked meals, laundry, and housekeeping are provided. We offer assistance with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, toileting and medication supervision. In-home medical appointments are available. We have 24 hour 7 day a week supervision. Caregiver is an RN.

We provide meals, assistance with personal care needs, and pass medications. In our apartments we have short term lease agreements, the noon meal is included, and additional services are available.

We provide assistance with bathing, grooming, housekeeping, laundry, fellowship, transportation to doctors appointments, supervised medications, 24-hour personal care supervision and protection. (to be eligible you must have aging, mental disorders, or dementia)
