(Return to list)A Brief History
We were the first hospice in North Carolina, established in 1978, and remain at the forefront in providing hospice and palliative care. Hospice Care has been the cornerstone of the Hospice & Palliative CareCenter. Over the years, we introduced new and expanded programs. Those programs include free advance care planning and grief counseling to anyone in the community, the building of the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, and expanded palliative care services designed to meet needs of patients earlier in the disease process.
In three decades of caring for our friends and neighbors in the piedmont, we’ve come to recognize that until you actually experience hospice or palliative care first hand, you may have many questions. We hope you find this information helpful, and we encourage you to contact us directly by phone so that we can answer your questions and find a way to be helpful and supportive.
